The redwoods are the tallest trees on earth. And best collection of these tallest trees along the northern California coast, from just south of Eureka, to the California / Oregon boarder near Crescent City.
For this website, we will split the Redwoods at the Klamath River, with the area north as Crescent City / Del Norte County; and the area to the south belonging to Eureka / Humboldt County.
Crescent City – Del Norte County
Crescent City has the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park and the Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Parks. In addition, there are smaller, new(er) growth Redwood county parks in the area. More information….

The Eureka / Humboldt section of Redwoods starts at the Klamath river on south and includes Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park with its spectacular Newton B.
