But there are nearby trails in the mountains and along the many rivers that offer great day trips, or several days of continuous hiking and camping. \u00a0Favorite inland hikes include the Rogue River Trail, plus the Illinois River Trail. \u00a0 Of course, there is nothing like hiking through the California Redwoods.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the hikes include GPX, KMZ or KML downloadable files. KML and KMZ files will open in Google Earth to display the hike. GPX files are uploadable to a GPS device. Every attempt has been made to be accurate, but it cannot be guaranteed. To the north are the Oregon Dunes with their miles of sand hiking. \u00a0To the south, the shoreline changes dramatically as cliffs rise and the dunes disappear.
