Trailer length up to 27 feet and RVs up to 31 feet length are allowed. There are 20 miles of hiking and nature trails plus fishing for salmon and steelhead during their fall and winter runs.<\/p>\n<p>There are 89 camping and RV sites (no hookups) are available at the park. Amenities include a boat launch ramp, swimming, and accessible restrooms. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reserveamerica.com\/camping\/Jedediah_Smith_Redwoods_Sp\/r\/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=CA&amp;parkId=120044&amp;topTabIndex=CampingSpot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reservations<\/a> can be made online.<\/p>\n<h3>Tolowa Dunes State Park<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/TolowanaDunesP1040796.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1389 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/TolowanaDunesP1040796-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/TolowanaDunesP1040796-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/TolowanaDunesP1040796.jpg 500w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/210;\" \/><\/a>The 5,000 acre Tolowa Dunes State Park and the 6,134 acre Lake Earl Wildlife Area are some of the finest wetlands habitats in the state.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.parks.ca.gov\/?page_id=430\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Tolowa Dunes State Park<\/a> is located north and south of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildlife.ca.gov\/Lands\/Places-to-Visit\/Lake-Earl-WA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lake Earl Wildlife Area.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are two primitive campgrounds and includes a ride-in horse camp within the State Park. Off road, or ATV use is not allowed.<\/p>\n<h3>Ruby Van Deventer Park<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JedediahIMG_11017.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-543 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JedediahIMG_11017-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"Redwoods Camping\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JedediahIMG_11017-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/orcalcoast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JedediahIMG_11017.jpg 500w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/210;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.del-norte.ca.us\/departments\/parks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ruby Van Deventer Park<\/a> is a county operated park located near the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park. There are 18 campsites and a group picnic area. Reservations are not available for these sites.<\/p>\n<p>The Smith River is about 50 yards away, offering swimming, kayaking, and seasonal trout and salmon fishing. The park offers 50 camping, hiking and RV spots and can accommodate vehicles up to 32 feet. The facilities include rest rooms, water, a group picnic area and their location immediately off of Highway Route 101 makes it convenient for weary hikers and cyclers. There are 7 easy walking trails within the site. The people working at this center are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
