\"\"<\/a>Coos Bay, North Bend and Charleston together, are known as the Oregon Bay Area. North Bend and Coos Bay are located immediately next to each other and, collectively, are frequently referred to as Coos Bay. Charleston is located a short distance to the southwest at the mouth of the bay.<\/p>\n

Be certain to take a side trip over to charming Charleston, the surrounding State Parks, and the lighthouse. The area around Charleston is one of the prettiest areas along the coast of Oregon. The Bandon Golf courses are a short distance south. The magnificent Oregon Dunes National Recreation area is located just to the north.<\/p>\n

The Coos Bay \/ North Bend area is centrally located and Coos Bay is the largest town on the coast, with a population of about 16,000. But don’t let its industrial look persuade you to skip it and move on as Charleston is the jewel of the three towns.<\/p>\n

The Southwest Regional Airport (OTH)<\/a> is located in North Bend offers flights to and from Denver and San Francisco.<\/p>\n

Southwester Oregon Community College (SWOCC)<\/a> is located in Coos Bay.<\/p>\n
